Fillers

(Juvederm XC®, Juvederm Ultra Plus XC®, Perlane®, Restylane®, Belotero®)

What it Treats: Restores lost facial volume to fill in lines and soften folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (commonly called marionette lines), the upper lip and under the eyes.

How it Works: Dermal fillers are injected into the deeper layers of the skin to restore areas of lost volume. Fillers are made up of hyaluronic acid, a natural protein found in our bodies whose purpose is to cushion and lubricate.

Expected Office Experience: The Physician will decide which product to inject, based on which area they are injecting, as well as how much volume the patient wants. All of our filler products now contain Lidocaine to enhance patient comfort and reduce swelling.

After the injection is complete, we always offer a complimentary makeup touch-up to cover up any treated areas and freshen your appearance.

Expected Recovery: There is little to no recovery time with a filler procedure. The most common side effect is swelling, redness and possible bruising at the injection site. Because hyaluronic acid is a natural protein found in our bodies, there is a low level of allergic reaction.

Length of Effect: The results of fillers are instantaneous and generally last about 6 to 8 months. Sometimes it can be a little more, sometimes a little less, depending on the injection site and how your body absorbs the product.
